NEW YEAR, NEW YOU?......DEY PLAY!

 

First, calm down. I'm not saying you can't make changes in the new year. But the new year has already been on for two weeks; are you already making the changes you wish to see?

Consider that for a moment.

Many people view the new year as a chance for a fresh start. Even if this is really true, we frequently put off actions or decisions that would advance our objectives while waiting for a specific occasion.

When people make resolutions to accomplish goals or alter character traits at the beginning of a new year, they frequently lack a strategy for doing so. All they can do is wait and pray that everything will work out as planned.

I discovered at the beginning of this year how crucial it is to always have action plans for each given goal.

After sending my goals for the brand I'm working with for the year, I was advised that while they were solid ideas, I hadn't specified how I was going to carry them out.

At that precise moment, I understood that having goals and plans is important, but so is knowing how to get there.

What are the exact measures that we intend to take?

Even the smallest details, like the time you want to be at work, counts when you have professional objectives to meet.

Another thing I want you to realize is that even if you have everything written down—plans, goals, ambitions, and aspirations—that doesn't mean the path to realizing them will be easy.

There will undoubtedly be hurdles, roadblocks, and obstacles. Perseverance and tenacity become important in this situation.

Even if something isn't working out right now, it might in the future. You only need to put in more work, start over, and reassess your actions to see where you're making mistakes, or even better, find a different technique to accomplish that goal.

I want you to spend some time this new year to reflect on your goals for the year, write them down, and then, one at a time, choose the best course of action and specific steps you will take to attain them.
